Mcabe came up with the concept...shot, edited, and created the music.
Don't forget to push PAUSE on my Music Player first.

I was up early this morning and this little guy kept me company. I wanted to wake up Mcabe....so that he could get the shot....but my boy looked ever so peaceful sleeping...like a "wittle bitty baby"...I grabbed the camera myself.

About ten minutes into the most supernatural fire show EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!...I thought...."this is it" and asked the kids if they were ready to meet the Lord. I followed the question with a prayer for softened hearts (as mine was beating out of my chest).... and submission to the TRUTH as the earth roared with His majesty.
Then the storm passed.
I'm hoping the memory of His power is burned into my five little hearts forever.
I know I'll never forget tonight and the evidence of His authority over creation.

In honor of Project Runway Nite....the girls dressed up.
When Jemima asked why we weren't watching tuning in last week....we told her it was because they were doing an episode that revolved around trannies. She asked, what's that? We said, "Men who want to dress up as ladies." She said, "Oh."
It's not that there's a lack of love for trannies. In our opinion, there have been a few adorable and talented designers over the years who were living las vidas locas. It's not that tranny behavior is worse than our behavior. Sin is sin. Just different manifestations of age old problems. Anger, unforgiveness, disappointment, fear, pride, lack of trust, self-love, self-hate, etc....
It simply seemed wrong to watch a full blown tranny extravaganza where the lifestyle was being flamboyantly GLORIFIED.
I suppose some would say watching the show at all...is "wrong wrong wrong"....but we haven't had that conviction.

Our boy is now a college man.
Bradley asked him not to go this morning.....explaining that if he did....it would mean he(Bradley) was old.
What he meant was that he isn't quite ready to let his baby grow up...that life was moving much too fast for his liking...that it feels as if nothing will ever be the same again.
After prayer...kisses goodbye... and hugs on the driveway....Bria was off.
Bradley called a few minutes into his commute down to work. Tears....sniffles...cracking voice. He's just a mess.
Then he called again from work....saying he's so thankful that our boy is going to college....how he never got a chance to go
(because of the need to support himself from a young age) and how he really sees the benefit now of an education...etc. etc. etc. My hubby is weepy today :)

I got the "home remodeling" urge and it's spread like wildfire. First, on the agenda is the girls' room. Tearing apart the drawers and closets....patching and repainting the walls...new flooring (I'm going to paint the concrete w/a diamond pattern I think.)
I figured...it's time to steward better what the Lord has given us. Creativity, able bodies, and a space for three cute daughters.

I was raised watching tennis....back in the Jimmy Conners, Tracey Austin, Chrissy Everett, John MacEnroe, Martina Natarolva days. Although I never took up tennis.....my father and my brother did. It was serious business. They worked hard on the court..... and as a family....we shared many hours around the sport. One of my most vivid memories is of a time when I was very young...lying on a lounge chair....under a soft blanket...falling off to sleep in the breeze....must've been Spring and about 80 degrees...the lounge chair was on the grass...things smelled fresh...maybe it was at St. Joseph's by the sea courts...where my Dad played in a tournament almost every week-end?
After taking a torturous, hour long cycling class (I've never EVER sweat so much in my life) I was too pooped to party last night and went to bed earlier than usual. Bradley was downstairs with the kids and their whoops, hollers, and voracious cheers were keeping me awake. What on earth?!?!?!?! This morning I learned they were highly involved in the Women's Volley Ball match taking place in Beijing.
It brought back sweet childhood memories.
I often think to myself....What are the times my children will hold onto? The certain places, the seasons, the smells? I am often running around busy, busy, busy....and the kids?.....all the while.........they are having moments.

Bradley and I went through a 6 year long "vegan" stage in our younger years. No meat, no dairy, no leather or fur...you get the picture.
It's comical.......considering the fact that the same son we forced to eat tofu dogs...now works at a steakhouse and just drew an elk tag.
One fabulous snack idea we picked up during our time of self imposed insanity was Homemade Herb Corn. It sounds much fancier than it is. Simply make a batch of popcorn (in olive oil)....sprinkle w/salt and seasoning (lots of it.) It is absolutely addictive.

As I think of the persecuted church....I'm thankful Lord, tonight for our freedom to worship You openly.
However, if our freedoms are standing in the way...and serve as stumbling blocks to salvation and growth...please hasten the day of our testing.
