Resurrection Sunday

I am personally thankful for the new found hope the Lord spoke to my heart this Resurrection Sunday. It has been in hiding. My hope.

All because of me. Because I lost focus again...as I tend to do.

My hope is in the Christ. In Jesus, the Christ and in HIM alone.

A Hymn of Grace-THE SOLID ROCK.... this hymn has been going through my head all morning as I think of your words and the cross built into the quartz!

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

You don't know me. I live far away. I think I found your blog a long time ago through an adoptive mom. I am one...to three Haitian born apples-of-my-eyes.

I occasionally seek out your blog. I'm drawn to your story--and curiously want to see what you're up to. Blogging is kind of weird like that.

So I unlurk now to say this post is why. It's taken a season of deep suffering for me to finally understand. Christ is my hope. My only hope. And your blog reminds me of that.

Beautiful post. Beautiful picture. Beautiful sister in Christ.
