So for whatever reason/s He sees fit...the Lord has us.... and many of those around us.... walking through similar life circumstances at this point in time. I can count at least 1/2 dozen humble men men of various ages who share their hearts w/Bradley and with whom....he shares his.
It reminds me of the way us women gather together around relationship & child rearing discussions.
It reminds me of those within the body whom are under conviction regarding the same things at the same time in history.
Oh, Lord! You are an intimate Father. You are behind the scenes...orchestrating the events of our lives according to your good and perfect will. And when you show us a sign of your goodness as a response to our desperate pleas....we tremble at your tenderness.
"Now is the time for feats of faith and valiant exploits."

So we were hit w/an $800 car bill a few months ago...and now a new $960 one. Both on Braverijah's car....one which he takes care of diligently. Gets his tires rotated...oil & filter changed...etc....all the stuff he's supposed to do.
I'm used to being a taxi driver. It's part of what I do.
But, today I'm a lil' frustrated.
Drive Braverijah to work 20 minutes up North...drive 20 minutes back home.
Drive Mcabe to college 30 minutes down South...drive 20 minutes up North...wait at library 1 hour because it's educational and FREE...drive 10 minutes up North to pick up Braverijah from work...get more gas...drive 20 minutes home.
Lord, I'm grumbling. I am fully aware.

"Which are the people who have influenced us most? Not the ones who thought they did, but those who had not the remotest notion that they were influencing us. In the Christian life the implicit is never conscious, if it is conscious it ceases to have this unaffected loveliness which is the characteristic of the touch of Jesus. We always know when Jesus is at work because He produces in the commonplace something that is inspiring."

As they were playing over there on that island...I overheard Jemima mention that it reminded her of Tom Sawyer.

More images from the boys recent Music Video Shoot.
First time Bradley and I stayed away completely. Never stepped foot on set once. Helped in no way except cleaning the house and set decorating the master bathroom prior to cast and crews arrival.
The footage is amazing.
We are beaming over here...geeky dork parents grinning from ear to ear.

The best part thing about Liam Roarke being here..... is the fact that Liam Roarke is here.
I had the enormous blessing of witnessing his grande entrance. Jules called to let me know she was going into labor. With two hours I was on a plane. Hopped a cab at LAX and arrived at Cedars Sinai just as he was making his debut. What a beautiful memory.
How I love this boy.

Chana Masala & Chicken Curry
One thing I miss terribly about LA is the fantastic Indian Cuisine.
Rather than complain and be all melancholy about our lack of it...I started making it.
Chana Masala & Chicken Curry. It's a hot mess...exactly how it's supposed to be.
Trader Joes has a great Naan and Mango Ginger Chutney.
Arti is one inspiring gal! And, as far as I can tell....I believe she's a believer :)

Knishes & Devil Dogs
One thing I miss terribly about NY are the street vendor knishes. Costco STARTRED SELLING THEM! I like mine w/deli mustard (spicy brown) but we were out.
Absolutely authentic.
My east coast friends will be very excited about this.
Now, I am hoping for Devil Dogs to show up on the shelves cause I do not want to pay for shipping.

UPDATE:
Wouldn't you know it? As soon as I let the math thing go...Jill decides she can facilitate a 1x/week Math Study Group after all.
Someone is watching over me.

My favorite favorite most favorite parts about tonight's co-op meeting were...the facts that:
....our daughter got to see first hand all the work that goes into the choosing/planning & scheduling of curriculum and classes....
.....laughs with my lady friends and....
....the seen and unseen presence of the men we call our own. The husbands/dads who stayed home with the kids...the one who brought dessert and the one who mentioned this week that this Anthropologie scene
reminded him of me before his wife told him that Anthropologie is my most est favorite place on earth.
Really, I would seriously be such a wretched miserable disastrous mess without these women at my side on this home-education journey. And....in large part....we are able to do this because our husbands provide spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially. Whatever their involvement level...in their varying degrees....we are blessed.
I have a HUGE milestone to report. Tonight I learned that our math tutor of the last three years...whom I love w/a passion because she's super sweet and because she removes the burden of mathematics from my shoulders.... will no longer be teaching math and I had fully thought she would be w/us till graduation...at least for the next 4-5 years.
I am not panicking.
I am at peace.
This is a milestone, people.
I am either numb or maturing.

Great article. It is so amazing to me...how the Spirit of God works in waves. Convicting people of the same thing at the same time in the same & different places. WOW!

If you know me at all...you know that I love Anthropologie. The floors and the unfinished countertops. The smells. The colors. The door knobs and parfumes. The shower curtains. The salt & pepper shakers. Rustic things which are elegant. The glow. The femininity of it all. I love love love Anthropologie. And, now ....because of this......my admiration has deepened.

Interesting article about attending college...or rather...the option of not attending college.
I have realized and learned to embrace the fact that I am an outside of the box thinker. It's in large part due to growing up in my family of origin.
If there's one legacy I'd like to pass on besides a legacy of faith...it would be this. Get out of the box.
Remember Proverbs 1:7
