Juno

This is a must see if you have teenagers. We have great communication with our great kids who have great friends...and still they have a private teen-age world in which they live. It sure is wonderful when they invite us in.

Both Bria and Mcabe have seen it a few times. They really like this film.

The message is life affirming.

The situations the characters find themselves in....not ideal..... but definately real.

It's really interesting to watch as adults who were teenagers who could've easily been walking in the same shoes....of parents of teenagers who you hope don't...and as adoptive parents who are grateful that someone else did.

alayna watched it and was really angry. she said the film was completely unrealistic. instead of everyone looking at her at school, she has perfect strangers coming up to her and wanting to be "aunts" and touching her stomach, and telling her she's immature for giving up the baby for adoption. Also, the scene where she tells her parents, she said that is the hardest thing she has had to do and Juno made it look like it was no big deal. Anyway, coming from her situation, that's in the situation, a good film to discuss, but not real. still Hollywood take on life I'm afraid.

How is Alayna? Is her daughter here? I've been praying. Mcabe keeps asking....every few days.
