Dance Ministry

Can you believe this? What did we ever do to deserve a dance teacher like Miss Jana? Not a thing. She is an undeserved gift.
The following is a note that came home:
Class was such a blessing today. It was fun. We are beginning a dance to "Everyday" by Lincoln Brewster. If you have a copy, your daughter can practice! I'll send home a copy in the next couple weeks for them to have so they can rehearse. The girls are doing a great job. What a privilege to dance and praise God with these girls! I tell them how much I look forward to Tuesdays at 4 o'clock! It's the truth.

Co-Op

If you think you are unable to home-educate on your own ......you are right.

But girls, we can do all things through Christ...who strengthens us! He loves us so much that He places like-minded families into our lives. Why? So that our unity and love for one another ...brings glory to Him. And...so that we can carry one anothers burdens...and so that we have an avenue to use our gifts and passions.

Our home-educating journey is an enormous blessing... in part... due to the sold out, transparent lives of those He has brought together. Moms, and tutors...I place high value on the roles you play in the lives of my children and I take very seriously the role I play in the lives of yours. And if we think it's about academics...I am afraid we are missing the boat. Thank you, Jesus for being such a gracious and patient Father. Thank you for always waiting for me to get a clue and never.... ever saying "I told you so."

"Moreover, the anchor is necessary so that we may be useful. The person who is easily moved and believes one thing today and another tomorrow, is fickle. Who knows where we will find him next? Of what use is he to young people or to those who are weak in faith or, indeed, to anyone else? Like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind, what service can he give in the work of the Lord and how can he influence others for good? He himself does not believe; how can he make others believe? I think that the Christian who knows Orthodox theology but who does not really believe is responsible for more unfaithfulness to God than a person who believes heresies. In other words, I am afraid that a person who earnestly believes an error has less harmful influence on others than a person who holds the truth with indifference and with secret unbelief. The latter is tolerated in godly company, for he professes to be a believer and he is therefore able to cause harm within the body of Christ. You might say he stabs at piety beneath her shield. This person is not sure of anything; he only "hopes" and "trusts," and when defending truth, he concedes that here is much to be said on both sides, so that he kisses and stabs at the same time. In summary, our God has provided us with an anchor to hold us securely so that we will not be shipwrecked, to keep us in peace, to prevent us from losing ground, and to enable us to remain faithful and useful. These purposes are the result of God's kindness and wisdom toward us. Let us bless the Lord who has so graciously cared for us. "

Baptism

Bradley and I were baptized 10 years ago this week-end...in a Fountain Hills pool alongside my parents, Dick and Diane.... and Debbie Brown as...Sara, James Lee, Bria, and Mcabe looked on.

Lord, the worship, the sermon, the conviction, the support, the protection. Thank you for the hope.

Father, please give me the strength to carry on. To stand for the convictions you have burned deep into my heart. To speak the TRUTH in love. Lord, please give me compassion...and forgiveness and patience. Lord, forgive my frustrations. Thank you for waking me up again....in the middle of the night last night...me burdened with so many thoughts...You on your throne. And for the cloud in the light of the moon... in the shape of a heart that drifted away with the wind after but a brief minute. Thank you for your whispers.

Monsoon Light

The monsoon light on the "Little Rocks" brought me into the backyard.

Fistfuls of Michael's shaved hair...remember our recent "mowhawk night"...gathered by Bradley out of the pool vacuum...sent me back inside.

Remind me to teach the teenagers to clean up after themselves.
